Leadership isn’t about avoiding setbacks

Leadership isn’t defined by how you act when things are going well.

It’s defined by how you respond when they’re not.

Take a moment and think about how you might respond:

- When a project misses the mark
- When a key team member resigns
- When your carefully laid plan falls apart

In those moments, you face a choice.

Do you react or respond?
Do you blame or reflect?
Do you control or influence?

The most effective leaders don’t jump to fix, defend, or deflect.

They pause.

They ask questions.

They get curious about what really happened.

They model resilience, not perfection.

It’s not about avoiding setbacks.

It’s about showing your team how to navigate them.
