Turn it off

The best thing I did for my stress levels years ago was super simple:

I turned off the notifications on my phone.

I made a conscious decision to reclaim control over my attention and time.

I stopped letting email and notifications dictate how and when I worked.

But there was an added benefit beyond reducing stress.

I regained focus.

Focus for work and tasks.

But more importantly, focus on people.

And I realized quickly that focus made me a better leader.

Remember, they’re only distractions if you let them be distractions.
