Diversity in strengths & leadership
Yesterday morning, I woke up to snow.
Yes, snow in April!
But it was Vermont, after all.
The snow didn’t dampen my excitement one bit about joining the JUNIOR BOARDING SCHOOL ASSOCIATION INC Heads’ Retreat.
I had a great time with this group of heads as we explored CliftonStrengths and reflected on how we show up as leaders.
One of the things I love most about this work?
There’s no single “type” of strengths profile that leads to headship.
Yesterday’s session was a powerful reminder of that truth.
There was so much diversity in strengths, styles, and leadership paths.
A huge thank you to Ian Craig for the invitation, and to everyone there—Julie Anderson, Steve Armstrong, Andrew Chase, Chris Day, Brooke Giese, Amy Jolly, Todd Ormiston, Mike Schloat, Susanna Waters, and Fred Williams —for having me join you!
And for the great conversation.
Should I have taken a group photo?
Yes.
Did I forget?
Absolutely.
It's the sign of a great day.
