Tired, but full

Some weeks feel like a walk in the park.

Last week?
More like a cross-country sprint.

It was the kind of week that leaves you tired and completely full.

I started in Birmingham, AL, where I had the joy of working with the faculty and staff at Indian Springs School.

We kicked off their school year with a deep dive into CliftonStrengths, exploring how each person’s unique talents can help them thrive.

Thank you, Weslie Wald, for inviting me into such an energizing start.
And it was a total bonus to share meals with Christie Janey and Rebecca Mahayag while I was in town.

From there, I spent the rest of the week at Westover School.
Westover is a place that’s especially important to my own leadership journey.

I had the chance to work with Tianna Lall-Emard (a fellow Wheaton College Massachusetts alum) and her team.

We explored strengths that will guide them in the year ahead.

Then came the Westover Board of Trustees summer retreat.
Two days of big conversations and thinking.

I always value connecting with fellow trustees, meeting our newest members.
And this year, having Ari Betof, EdD, MBA join us in person.
I’m always grateful for time with Polly Fredlund and her team, who lead with such heart.

By the time Saturday night rolled around, I was ready to rest.

But my bucket?

Overflowing.

Travel.
Connections.
Great conversations.

These are the weeks that remind me why I do this work.
