One of my favorite workshops
On Friday, I had the privilege of facilitating a full-day workshop with the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS) on Developing High-Performing Teams.
This is one of my favorite workshops to deliver.
I watch teams come together.
Dissect where they are.
Talk honestly about where they want to go.
Here's what doesn't happen often enough:
Teams don't pause to think about how they're showing up.
They're focused on logistics.
The daily checkboxes.
The way we move things forward day to day.
But in reality, so much of what we do in leading teams is about the people.
Being together with these leaders last Friday reminded me of exactly that.
The relationships we build.
The accountability we drive.
How we show up for ourselves and one another in the workplace.
This group was thoughtful, engaged, and genuinely committed to doing the work.
They spent the day diagnosing their teams, reflecting on their leadership, and building sustainability plans they can actually use.
A huge thank you to Deb Borden for bringing me in to work with this incredible group, and to Villa Maria Academy High School for hosting us.
Leadership isn't just about checking off the boxes.
It's about caring for the people doing the work together.
I can't wait to see what these teams accomplish!
