Is this you?

This week, a leader I work with admitted she hasn’t taken a proper lunch break in months.

Not because she’s behind.
Because she feels guilty stopping.

That’s the part we don’t talk about enough.

High-performers aren’t just driven.
They’re conditioned to believe that pausing is a problem to solve.

It isn’t.

Rest isn’t something you earn.
It’s something you protect.

I know this pattern well.
I spent years eating at my desk, convincing myself there wasn’t time.

There is always time.
What’s missing is permission.

And when you don’t give it to yourself, no one else will.

I am a better coach, a better partner, and a better thinker when I pause.
Even if it’s just a quick lunch away from my screen.

The question isn’t if you have time.
It’s if you’ve confused constant motion with leadership.
