Dispatch from Maine

Many years ago, as a relatively new leader, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Crow’s Nest Institute at the Colony Hotel - Maine.

That three-day experience profoundly impacted me as an enrollment professional.

And it shaped my leadership journey in ways I couldn't have imagined.

I found myself returning to this conference many times over the years.

In doing so, I formed lasting friendships with colleagues who became trusted confidants and advisors.

These were the people I could call on whenever I needed help or found myself questioning my own leadership.

This week was particularly special, as I had the honor of returning to the Crow’s Nest—this time as a speaker.

It was both a wonderful and surreal experience!

I had the chance to partner with another consultant and Crow’s Nest alum, Ayesha Flaherty, to share our consulting experiences and the lessons we've learned along the way.

A huge thank you to Christine Baker, Monique DeVane, and Scott Looney for your dedication over the past 25 years in making the Crow’s Nest Institute the transformative experience that it is.

And to those I have met through this experience- thank you for helping shape the leader I am today.
