Let others shine
What delegation is:
- Empowering others to take ownership of projects and decisions.
- Clearly communicating expectations and outcomes while trusting others to bring their own solutions.
- Providing the resources and support they need to succeed and then stepping back.
- Developing someone’s skills to build confidence and prepare them for future challenges.
What delegation isn't:
- Dumping tasks you don’t want to do on someone else without context or support.
- Micromanaging every step of the way and eroding trust and creativity.
- Abdicating responsibility—delegation doesn't mean stepping away from accountability.
- Expecting others to figure it out without guidance or clarity on the goal.
Delegation is a skill that takes practice.
And more importantly, it takes time.
Start small.
Be clear.
And let others shine.
