Strong leaders ask for help

"I don't want to seem weak.”
“I should be able to figure this out on my own.”
“They’re counting on me to know this.”

Sound familiar?

They should.

I hear these phrases come from my own clients.
And let's be honest.

I said these too when I led a team.

The problem is that these are the quiet thoughts that keep smart, successful leaders stuck.

But here’s what I know for sure.

Strong leaders don’t go it alone.
Strong leaders ask for help.

Because leadership isn’t about being the hero.
It’s about building the right support system.

We all have people we lean on at different moments in our leadership.

The ones we call for advice.
Invite to give us feedback.
And trust enough to see us at our most uncertain.

For me, it’s Pete Carpenter, Liza Garonzik, Elizabeth Maglio, Rebecca Malotke-Meslin, Meera Shah, and Antonio Viva to name just a few.

Leadership isn’t about doing it alone.

It’s about knowing who to call when you need perspective, courage, or calm.

Who’s someone you’ve leaned on lately?
