Your future self will thank you
We’re inching closer to fall.
And the whirlwind of wrapping up summer while planning ahead can feel overwhelming.
(This can be true whether you’re in education or not.)
So before the pace picks up even more, can you carve out an hour for yourself in the coming week?
And do the following:
Step 1: Review your calendar.
Where are the gaps?
Where are you overloaded?
Have you made room for any needed time off?
Step 2: Make a list of tasks you need to tackle.
Write down big and small thing.
Get them down on paper so you can see everything in one place.
Remember to include both work and personal tasks.
Step 3: Think ahead.
What can you do now to ease the pressure on your future self?
Where can you block out time for a big project?
Have you penciled in time for exercise, rest, and fun?
It's hard to lead when you are feeling overwhelmed.
Making the time now to plan will set you up for success.
Your future self will thank you.
