Start Your Year with Purpose
January always feels like a moment suspended between reflection and possibility.
I’ve never been a fan of resolutions. My yoga studio is suddenly packed, and the internet is full of promises to become a new version of yourself.
I think of January differently. It’s a time to focus on the real work. Leadership isn’t defined by the goals you write down. It’s defined by the systems, habits, and daily discipline that turn intention into follow-through. The early excitement fades quickly, and the ease of autopilot is strong. It’s why the yoga studio will be a bit quieter by February 1.
So ask yourself:
What small, non-negotiable action will I commit to every single day this month to ensure my 2026 vision doesn’t stay on paper?
Choose consistency over intensity. When your vision is embedded in your daily habits, you create a year of sustained performance and meaningful, measurable progress, for you and for your team.
Best,
Susanne
A new year brings a natural moment to pause, look ahead, and ask a simple question: What deserves my leadership right now?
Leadership clarity doesn’t lead to results by accident. Long-term vision matters, but meaningful change happens in shorter cycles. When you narrow your focus to the next 90 days, you begin to move with clarity. You build momentum. You create the kind of consistency that strengthens your leadership and your team.
I’ve created a one-hour exercise to help you translate intention into action for whatever season you are stepping into. You can access it below.
My Favorite Resources
Great leaders never stop learning. Each month, I’ll share a few resources–books, articles, podcasts, and tools–to help you lead with clarity and confidence. This month’s resources are focused on how to create consistency in order to lead with clarity and purpose in the year ahead.

A reminder about many great thinkers relied on simple, disciplined daily routines to create the structure that fueled their creative and intellectual work.
As you look ahead to 2026, you may find yourself craving more clarity, focus, and intention in how you lead.
That’s why I created The Leadership Reset, a three-week, self-paced course for high-performing leaders who are ready to realign, refocus, and strengthen their leadership presence.
Over 18 short lessons, released Monday through Saturday, you’ll:
Reconnect with your leadership values and strengths
Build confidence in how you show up each day
Develop simple habits that elevate your presence and impact
Beginning January 12, 2026, this experience is designed to fit your schedule while helping you step into the new year centered and clear. You'll receive an email notification each day, however, you may complete the daily practices anytime that works for you.
If you’ve been running on autopilot, The Leadership Reset is your chance to pause, recalibrate, and lead with greater purpose.
