Helping or hindering?

Are you helping or hindering others' growth?

Recently, I've had some coaching sessions with aspiring leaders who are being held back by their direct supervisors.

(Not so) Fun (not surprising) fact:

Every one of these aspiring leaders is a woman.

Here's the thing.

Women already face many challenges in their professional journeys.

And many are prepared and eager for the next step.

But their approach often differs from their supervisors'.

So their efforts are seen as not enough.

Their authentic leadership isn't recognized.

The next time a team member, especially women and BIPOC individuals, seeks your guidance on their growth, I ask you to do the following.

Listen.

Support.

And help.

Your role is crucial in shaping an inclusive and empowering environment.

Because great leaders grow other leaders.
