What does a humble leader look like?

I used to think humility meant playing down what you're good at.

Deflecting credit.

The whole "oh, it was nothing" routine.

I don't think that anymore.

The most humble leaders I know are pretty clear-eyed about what they're good at.

What makes them humble is that they're more interested in getting it right than in being right.

They can say "I changed my mind."
Or "I don't know yet."
Or "You were right, and I wasn't."

People want to work with a leader like that.

Not because they're soft.
But because they're safe to be honest around.
